Are Cobberdogs healthy?

Cobberdogs are among the healthiest dogs money can buy. Before being bred, true Cobberdogs undergo strict genetic testing. When a disease gene is detected they are not bred with. You know you are buying a true Cobberdog if your breeder can supply you with the genetic results and pedigree papers for both parents.

How long does a Cobberdog live for?

The Cobberdogs coat does not smell. They don’t have the doggy smell that some breeds have. In fact, once dry, dirt seems to fall right off their coats! We bath our dogs if needed. This isn’t very often when compared to our other dogs.

Australian Cobberdogs vary in size. Official sizes, as per the MDBA Breed Standard are:

  • Small- 33-42cm from floor to shoulder blade.
  • Medium- 42-51cm from floor to shoulder blade.
  • Standard- 51-61cm from floor to shoulder blade.
